In the process of developing our core machine translation (MT) and computer-aided translation (CAT) offerings, GistXL has accumulated a wide range of related language technologies and resources over many years. Try out some of the interesting applications that have been built on these resources below.

1. GistXL Online Speech Evaluation App
How is your oral Chinese? Read out a Chinese passage and let the system automatically rate you in real time. The commercial version allows you to upload any text or audio as the "standard" used for comparison.

2. GistXL Chinese Text-to-Speech and Text-to-Pinyin App
Upload any Chinese text and let the system turn it into audio and pinyin instantly. The commercial version allows you to listen to the result online or download the audio file to listen at your convenience. The text can also be linked to dictionaries to provide multilingual word definitions and part of speech.

3. The Singapore Bilingual Dictionary (beta)
This is the largest Singapore-specific dictionary to date, with more than 130,000 bilingual terms culled from media and public sources. GistXL currently has more than 1.7 million validated terms in its terminology database covering over 30 specialised domains.
